Area Guide

The Kumano Hongu Heritage Center is located in the heart of the Kii Mountain Range. The Kumano Hongu Taisha and Oyunohara are a short walking distance from the center. Many sections of the Kumano Kodo Pilgrimage routes can be accessed easily from this facility. Onsens (hot spring) are located close by including Yunomine Onsen, Kawayu Onsen and Wataze Onsen. The Kumano Hongu Heritage Center is a great starting place for your Kumano experience.
